Lost and confused,
I left you all,
My soul shattered,
My “friends” watched me fall.

When others asked, I said I was ok,
But when I asked myself
I did not know what to say.

My old self was dead,
And I must confess
I was sad and had mistaken
Other’s love for hidden loneliness.

My personality had gone
With the frigid wind of hate.
I couldn’t see through the pain.
And when I saw, it was too late.

But now I am strong,
And I know I was wrong,
To keep this all bottled up inside.

If I were to list all that went askew
I would not know where to start.
But I just think that you all should know
That you always had a place in my heart.

Really beautiful. I loved it. Kinda reminds me of myself, in so many ways. Very touching. Even my friends sitting next to me are crying their hearts out. Okay, not really but they also find it sad yet likable at the same time. Keep writing!

Very nice. I like how the poem begins with a feeling of helplessness yet still ends on an upbeat. Creates great contrast and makes the feelings seem more real. The topic is also well chosen. Not everyone can write about this kind of painful topic. Very well done.

Losing friends, those who we held closest to our hearts seem to slip from our fingers. You have a work of art here that expresses the feeling of loss, and self reflection too; something most of us can relate to. Very nice, I like it. If this did come from personal experience then you know it's a start in the right direction when you can look back and see why things turned out the way they did. There is always a light in our lives we must chase after someday.

I think that poetry is an art, and not all are born with the talent. However you are one. I was however curious, did you write this off of based feelings. It sounds a lot of how I myself have been feeling. Hope to hear from you. Maybe you will even comment or read some of my poetry.
