I am usually so busy in my everyday life I often fail to notice my surroundings. However, I am more attentive at night, and one thing in particular always catches my eye: the moon. One sight I hope for is the splendor of a full moon, especially on a clear night. And that brings me to my daydreams.
I sometimes daydream in class, usually in the first 15 minutes. I am the first to admit that I am not a morning person, so my mind is not entirely there when class starts. Because I am a night owl, I daydream of doing things at night, like going out to eat or simply walking around my apartment complex under the light of the moon. As I mentioned earlier, out of all of the elements of nature, I favor the moon because I consider its light to be a gentler variation of that of the sun. Sometimes I am so entranced by the moon I daydream about a full moon and simply being under it.
A recurring daydream I have concerning the full moon involves the Beethoven melody of Moonlight Sonata. If I think about it or hear it, my mind's eye suddenly transports me to a hill overlooking a grass-covered plain. The sky is clear and a full moon bathes the field in its soft light, and the wind is blowing, making the grass ripple like waves on the ocean. I am standing on the hill and I feel the wind blow my hair gently about as I hear Moonlight Sonata played on the piano. The distinct and haunting notes of that melody remind me of the delicate beauty of the full moon.
Though I usually take nature for granted like so much of modern society, the moon commands my attention. Perhaps my liking of it is the tale of Endymion in reverse... some nights I simply stand outside and look at the moon for 5 minutes and marvel at how something that appears so delicate can be so beautiful. It is a testament to its mesmerizing beauty if someone daydreams about a gentle wind blowing over a grass-covered plain illuminated by a full moon... with the immortal melody of Moonlight Sonata as a background score.

This is very good, I'm usually a picky reader but I love this story. You did an awesome job on it and I want to let you know that it was a 100% score on ratings from me.

Jordan,
I love this story when I read it. I like your writing your work is very awesome. You have done a great job in my option. You have told what Moonlight Daydreams is all about it's like the Beethoven melody of the Moonlight Sonata. That's what it's all about it and you have told it in this story. The grammar is perfect and everything else is perfect. I think that your story deserves some credit.

Wow, I can mostly identify myself with all this, except the part about not being a morning person. I'm a night owl but for some reason I work pretty well in mornings as well, even if I've slept just a couple of hours. It's in the afternoon when I'm nothing more than a sleepy zombie.
Anyway I like your writing pretty much. You've done a great job in my humble opinion.

Aw this was sweet. I too am a night owl. I love being out during the night either walking by myself or with friends. I love it in the summer. I love walking on a beach under a full moon in the summer. There is noting more relaxing. Ah, just thinking about it is breaking my heart because here in New Jersey it is still too cold the beach. Oh, how I long to walk under the moon on a warm summer night.
Good Work!

Good work, Jordan! It's about time you started entering some contests! I daydream during school too, mainly during math since I find it utterly boring and I get full of ennui. I can also space out when looking at the moon and stars, pun unintended, but you missed to lunar eclipse tonight, eh? Although being a night owl is something I've given up for the most part...I'm not up past midnight, usually. Why? Because my parents wake me up at six AM every weekday morning and I'm a complete monster when I don't get enough sleep.
I couldn't find any spelling/grammar errors, and I can't rant about the year, :p, so I congratulate you on this and wish you luck in Tammy's contest! I should try getting an entry together too... By the way, I've listened to Beethoven;s Moonlight Sonata. I can agree to that, it's a really beautiful melody. Good work, keep writing!

Greetings!
T'is I, Minako. I seemed to have misplaced my riding crop... I guess the show must go on, eh?
I only found one iffy line: 'One sight I hope for is to the splendor of a full moon, especially on a clear night.'
Ok you and I have waay too much in common, moon-man. Being a night owl is so totally awesome. During long breaks from school, I go completely nocturnal, going to sleep around 4 or 5 AM and waking around 2 or 3 PM. I can work so much better at night, and can't handle early morning classes.
I have a few instrumental songs that when I hear them, take me to a magical place in my mind. Usually, inspired by stories I write or scenes I want to write about. I'm just that cool. Oh yeah.
My daydreams usually consist of like, what I'm going to tell my friends, or going home and sleeping, or using my laptop. My brothers love it so I HAVE to share -.-; Pauvre moi.
Anyway,
WOO! FIRST COMMENT *dances*
