*This if for Bob's contest 'What you don't like about PnP*
There area few few things I don't like about PnP. I don't like how it look like a purple wedding. I mean the back ground on the pages are just a little, girly, and there are boys on here (unless you like it) Also, the design is just so, simple. I kind of like the background in the Sailor Moon juke-box. You could change it to another color though. To go along witht eh wedding thing, the flowers that are used as bullest on the left side of the page. I like flowers but it's just too much like a wedding. This is a writing/sailor moon site. Maybe a little book or a pen or something. Besides, after a awhile the flowers ,to me, get annoying.
I don't like how you have to make comments to make more works. I know it's to show a bit of challenge, but people that are not big on stuff like state test where we have to explain everything. I feel bad saying this because Sam has the Crusaders. You could still have that, just for what is was for before. This way, people that make comments just to write more works, make them very short. I hate that. You should comment on a work because you liked it or found something in it.
I don't like how a few things are set up. This could go along with the background. In the works when you're reading them, the bland, one color, purple that's the color of the regular background. I know if there were any patterns, it would mess up the letters, but it's just very bland. Another thing has to do with the 'Enter your works' page. The box you use to write the work doesn't look like the one you see on it's own page, so you're not sure what it looks like. Also, in the 'enter your works' box, you can indent a paragragh, but it turns out to be just another line. Another is the age rating. I highly doubt there would be a three years old surfing the net and reading works on PnP. Same with 7 years olds. They may be in second grade, but they still act lost like kindergardners.
The last thing have to say I don't like is the galleries. I love them, but it's just that they annoy me too easily. I liked it when, a few years aago, the gallery you went on before was there like if you went to another page, and you go back. Anyway, when you went back, the gallery you were on is there to start with, istead of Sailor Moon. I know she's the main charactor but there are other ones that make the show pop out too. I had another thing but I lost it. I'll get back on that one.
That should be it. I'll add another moon note if I have any more. ~I hope I didn't offend you in anyway.~

My granddaughter got on here at 10! She likes it. I use to have more time, but now I work a lot more! Hope you have a great day! Anthony

I really doubt there would be a 3 year old. Or a person that is 125 years old! Anyway i totally agree with you on the text box. Its really annoying and sometimes its hard to read the text because theres no indenting.

I agree with many of the things you've said here. For one, I don't like the color as much either. Purple and pink are my two most hated colors in the entire world, although I have gotten used to them as the background of this site. The flowers, I never really noticed. But now that you mention it, it does kinda look like we're all obsessed with weddings, eh?
I completely agree about the text box. It's very annoying whenever I submit something and then later see that my paragraphs aren't paragraphs anymore. It hasn't happened often, but it's annoying when it does. It's also a bit exasperating to put in all those HTML tags, but I don't suppose we can do much about that.
The commenting, well, that's a big one. Personally, I think it's good that we're being required to make comments, because without that requirement, people would have almost zero iniative to comment at all. I like getting comments, although I don't get much. But without any commenting... there isn't much of a purpose to post at all, eh? People might read, but how would you know what they liked and stuff? Commenting is a good way to improve your writing. But I agree with you on one thing; I absolutely hate it when people only leave short 1-lined comments. That's just being lazy and it's disgustingly demeaning to the author who recieves the comment.
The age rating; I always have trouble with that too. Whenever I post something, I always have trouble imagining 3 year olds actively participating this site. But then, when I put it at 10 or something, I got some complaints that I'm age-rating too high. -.- And I sorta was, except I still don't get why there's a 3-year old age rating. Do kids even read poetry by the time they're 3?
T'was good to hear your opinions! Keep writing!

I agree with the purple and the flowers. It does kind of look like we're having a wedding :) I like the idea of a pen or a book for a bullet instead of flowers. I'm not the "girly" type and for the guys who don't like purple, it's a little weird. :) Thanks for the post. I like it!

I can agree with some of this, mainly the indenting paragraphs. It didn't bother me until I recently learned about Copy & Paste, and now it kinda gets on my nerves...the color doesn't bother me so much any more, nor do the flowers, but a book or pen would be cool.
The bit about the commenting, I didn't find offending although I had the Commenting Crusaders, the Commenting Circle was more Sam's, while the Crusaders were more my own, but now we're the Commenting Community, as you've probably noticed. The directors, so I've been taunted, are doing some major changes to PnP but the only part of it I know of is the CC is going to get a large upgrade, Sam will in in charge of the Adult author's division, and I'll be in charge of the Jr. Author's division.
Also, about the age rating, it's mainly so teenagers and pre-teens don't read adult works that should be 18+. Although we don't have any 3 year old authors, we did have a few below 7, although they usually drift away or are still here and are older, but there is still occasionally a 6 year old. Seldom, but worth it I suppose.
You didn't offend me in the slightest, but I do suggest you scan this for typos, you have a few. Don't forget to enter this in Mr.Betts' contest, for I see you haven't already.

The age rating is not just for those who might read it, but also for what age group would be interested in it. Some people write stories geared toward 3 year olds.
I like the point made about a pen or book for bullet points, that's a cute idea. As for the purple, I like purple, but then I would like most colors.

Actually, just to point it out...
We've had 7 year olds on here before, and to my knowledge, some of them are still on here although they're obviously not 7 anymore.
