  How to do Serena's hairstyle

Okay, so I've been on several websites, but I either don't understand how they explain Serena's hairstyle, or my hair is too short. Here's an easy way to do Serena style hair.
1. Divide your hair into two sections, one for each side of your head. Make sure they're about even.
2.Take one of the sections and put it into a high pigtail(between the middle and top of your head, depending on how long your hair is)using the thinnest ponytail holder you can find. Pull the top of the pigtail into a bun.
3.Repeat step two. Make sure it's at about the same height.
4.If you have round red hair clips, put them into the buns. If not, it still looks fine!

I have done this hairstyle. The only problem is, you can't make it round unless its a wig.

What you really have to do is just keep wrapping your hair around and use LOTS of hair pins. You can see them in my pics.

Hope that can help you out some. ^_^

There are so many ways on how to do Serena's hair I mean she has so many hairstyle's for Serena. I mean I love Serena's bun but Darien he keeps calling her "Meatball Head." But there's so many ways on how to do her hair for Serena. When she gets married and when she becomes the queen and in the first couple of shows I think that she same old same boring hairstyle she's just trying to fix it up a bit and it will look okay. I just love the hairstyle the bun is a cute hair style for Serena.

I heard that people in japan or so use these little net thingys to hold their hair up in a bun.

Omgosh! When I was younger I always wanted to know how to do this! Once my hair gets long enough (I'm growing it out) I'm soo gonna try this!

Thanks a lot!

In the live-action version (PGSM) Usagi's odangos are made very simply by pulling her hair into a ponytail high on her head then tying a single overhand knot in the hair, with the knot forced close to her head. I'm guessing that she uses a pin to keep the knot from slipping.

Pork-bun? Is that what odango atama means? Wow, you learn new things everyday.

*whistle* A simple and tested way to mimic pork-bun head? Erm, in the Japanese version she was pork bun head, but it was changed to meatball head because pork buns aren't common over here in the states! My hair is only at my shoulders so I won't be able to try this but before I cut it next time (I never go to a stylist...it's a rip off! I don't need any fancy designs...) I'll see if I can try this if my hair is long enough. Back in first grade (how many years ago was that? I feel so old!), I was Sailor Moon for Halloween and I had the hair made out of long yellow yarn. Good work, keep writing!
