She looks at the books on the shelf
wondering what to pick
nudges her glasses to shift them up
scratches where we should not really see,
She takes a copy of one of mine
I notice the smile on her face
reads the contents with obvious glee
this is the one she wants to read,
Joy turns to dismay as she screws up her nose
her finger goes there too
she smiles as she removes the alien
my book is discarded as she makes the move,
She put it back with swift intention
I refrain from objecting
she goes to another section
I squirm with the feeling of rejection,
She eventually picks one that is not very good
I smile and almost say
"The clientele here is not that refined
I shall move to another library."

LOL John... well, you got *her* back for putting down your book. Now all the world knows that she picks her nose and scratches, eererm, places and has TERRIBLE taste in literature. :-)
