For mature young adults
I feel no pain
as the rain
bests the sane
giving a rest
Quest of the fool
resides in the gel
not born yet
Here I feel
and steal
the wheel
of a dreamer lost
Hold me
as I see
the need
to be on
your coat sleeve
Blood of life
cuts my soul
in a knife
a pure wife
done
Me in
So lovers play
in the rain
Pick up pain
Child in birth
Worth the worth
No one left
to share
I was there
When the flame
went out
So in the death
of love
We answered
the dove
Set the bugger
free
In the
hell hole
As catfish
jump free
Window-shopping
Caught
herself a man
Daddy will
understand
With child
And
a new plan
Dreamer stands
in the can
Plan a give
to live
past
Last words
given
in love
Rings exchanged
at shotgun
No pleading
big city
Only a banjo
strum
We sing
he hums
Arms around
the sun
Moon is playing
for someone
We just have
to come
along
Daddy playing
mouth organ
Betty sings
her song
I feel no pain as the rain bests the sane giving a fool's rest
Quest of the fool resides in the hell not born yet
Here I feel red hot steel the wheel of a dreamer lost
Hold me as I see the need to be on you coat sleeve
Blood of life cuts my soul in a knife a pure wife done
Wind and rain write
A perfect review to try
Eyes taking a look
Sweet candy
On the hook
Swings her body
Like a dream in line
It is just a mother of time
Come and play we are here anyway
Music of the soul to be
She sets us all on fire
Tight is the desire
A passion left
Screaming for her the pet
And we walk away
She did not want us any way
Dream stands in the can
Plan a give to live past
Last words given in love
Rings exchanged at shotgun
No pleading big city
Only a banjo strum
We sing he hums
So lovers in the rain
Pick up the pain
Child in birth
Worth the worth
No one left to share
I was there
When the flame went out
Trouble it fades as the daze calls
She is his lover after all
And love she does
With a heart strong
Best side of right
Is her wrong
Love her
Long after
She is gone

Walter, you have truly outdone yourself here, my friend. This is one of those almost organic poems that has a life of its own. I will need to re-read several times to fully assimilate all the meanings here (already read thrice) and attempt to grasp all this incredible poem has to offer. I believe this is now my favorite poem of yours, if not my favorite poem here at PnP. Your mind paints wonderful images with your words. Best Regards, Lyle
