Deep Within My soul
by Regina Pate (Age: 29)
copyright 08-08-2007

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Singing songs
About being left at the alter
Hearing words
I've never heard
Trying to remember
As memories I learn

Listening
Instead of waiting
Actually
Enjoying
My time to be quiet
Not ever thinking about
My Que to jump in

Here these words
And guard them well
Words of wisdom
Coming from the depths of hell

Hear their their screaming
In their torture
Listen to them a little longer
What their saying
I can't tell

Silence
For just a moment
Silence
Of the lambs

You have quieted
All their wailing
You have disturbed
The Children
Of the Damned

But the silence doesn't linger
Hear the words of just one singer

Shh, be quiet
Oh ye of little faith
Just remain calm
You're gonna have to wait!

Listen to what he's dying to tell somebody
Not just anybody
Maybe anyone would pause for a second
But not just anyone would try and understand
And only someone like you would maybe more that likely
Actually give a damn

Can you remember those songs you ancestors praised
These are the words of how your fore fathers
Were raised

Deep within my soul
I now experience
The healing power
Of Music

I've been waiting a long time for your
passionate poetry to return to the site.
I see that your writer's block is gone.

There is always something to write about as long as you, feel, experience, remember, and forget,
and always look for the grasshopper at your feet.

I'm glad your back.

Keep up the good work.

See ya'

My friend,

~Rich
