Beside the night I sit in the sweet silence of the lights of heaven shining down upon my mortal soul.
Drifting together my thoughts blanket any further steps that may be taken this day.
Staring further into the night, glimpses of tomorrow take hold in the magnificence of creation.
Soon His day will come, blessed more so than any man before Him.
Grasping at the fullness of His love, ideas of this world will be cast in His divine shadow.
Battling his own, I believe man will succumb to his pride pressing on the soul like thousands of unbearable consequences.
Seizing the body with the un-bearableness presented when truth shines through to the hearts of all.
The mind will wander never truly hitting the center of this ordeal,
trapped among millions of other destined to live in a world lost in the savage of time.
The next step will lead you hurling toward a disease with no cure,
only forgiveness blessed freely upon men.
Lost in cowardice man’s fear is true despair of the death of hope without Him who is and will be glorified.
Can hope bring all who search a willingness to share with those destined to ignore He who will save?

Very powerful are the images that this wonderful piece brings to my heart and soul. Images of black and white. Yet, you did leave us with hope.
I wish you would write more, your poetry is excellent.
Thanks for sharing this.

Your friend,

~Rich

Jack: Thank you for a reflective poem on the great truth of life. The poem's point was no mystery to me.It is a mystery to so many. I have no critique of the writing. I have deep respect for the subject. Dale
