Autmn's Here
by Rebecca Couture
copyright 10-23-2007

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Autumn's here
Harvest moon shines bright o'er the fields
Frost be upon the golden pumpkin
Pumpkin pies and cookies fresh baked
Picking apples
Harvest time
Bring in the last of the crops
Prepare for the Harvest Festival
Walk in the gentle wind
Watch birds and listen to their songs as they prepare to fly south
Watch all the critters and life prepare for long winter's nap
Gather leaves of rainbows with a special friend or two
Enjoy the day
Rae

A moment captured in words, eyes see past the day, a flow that takes a reader down a path needed to enjoy the season in process, observation and feeling mixed to the full, opens eyes lost in the everyday trivial of survival..Walt

A poem after my own heart! Splendid free verse lyric. I loved the images and rhythms and the overall feel of the piece. What more can I say? I give it my highest rating! Way to go!
