Hey fool she is singing this for you
You wrote this for her mother
Watched a replication of a
Life long gone
A voice as pure
As one looking
Her father gone
Her brother
About to fill
The hole
Flag draped
Ready for honor
Fold hers to hold
We stood at attention as the ground eat another son
In the eyes I should see me
Heart of measure
Those do not understand
The pleasures of life
In reality
We walk
In our dreams
Poet I stand with a face to the wind
Back to the sun
Every tribute
Steal guitar run
In a corner I sit
Looking back on a child singing my song
Heart poured into proportions to me
Lover willing to keep a live
Words that long died
My love is tested as the night takes
Deposits devil once again to page
Ghosts of youth fall to shadows
Pieces of me die words come
Passion sought just a lie
Eyes beg heart melts into mine
So warm the feel upon skin
Alone in a corner with age poured in small glasses
Candle light dims to shadows to powerful to over come
Silhouettes of wonder come from every pore left open
Words practices in years blend to perfect verse
Expectation left on napkin stained with booze
Time takes it toil on eyes gray angel sleeps
Drunk walks away last time in pride cold
Everybody looking for someway
Yet I am still looking for someway
Out, alone as always, keyboard sings
A last song……..
