Losing You
by Cassie S. (Age: 15)
copyright 11-25-2007

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Now it's worse.
I'm more confused,
because now you're gone,
you just left with a simple good-bye.
You left me there,
with that dull old rusty knife
stabbed right through my heart,
just left me there,
and went with her.
I guess it was your choice all along,
I just can't believe
she beat me to your heart,
but now you're gone,
on a different page,
I tried to let you in,
but it didn't work the way I'd planned,
and now I'm here,
with this same old rusty knife,
only now it's sharp as hell,
but I don't know what to do,
should I let it go through my heart,
or just drop it?
So I think.

I think about you,
I think about me,
and there it goes,
slicing right through my skin,
into my heart.
I didn't mean to,
but it doesn't even matter,
because my heart's already broken,
it's cold as stone,
so I don't feel a thing,
and all the stress is gone,
I can't feel a thing.
I'm just numb,
and I know why,
I'm dead...

So now I hope you see,
if you can't help us,
you can't help me,
I'm not saying it's your fault,
that I'm lying here now,
I should have let you in,
but I didn't,
that's my mistake,
I just wish I could fix it,
but I can't,
so this is the end,
the end of me...

Love is strange sometimes, but you are young. You will learn many things as you grow and someday a young man will come along and sweep you off your feet! This was very emotional and another good write, Anthony

Wow, your poems hold a lot of emotion. And this has happened to me, and i hope you where speaking figurativaly when you where talking about the knife.
Often not actign can cause us more pain instead of acting and making a mistake.
The only thing i wonder is why do you use a rusty knife? Instead of a new shiny one. Would it be because its been so long that you couldve done something, yet chose not to?
Over time i have given up pretty much on trying to deal with the people that cause me to drive the knife through my heart.
This was awesome

When the time comes you will find the guy who won't break your heart, you'll find someone who loves you for who you are. You just have to be careful who you date. And another thing you have to let me know when you have a boyfriend :P no keeping it a secret from me.
Love ya
Toni
