Goodbye
by Jane L. (Age: 14)
copyright 11-28-2007

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Open your eyes and look at the angels dancing around us.
Even if they have lost their wings,
Even if they have hidden themselves,
They can hear the sound of forgotten love.

My heart...
The words I can no longer express...
They're sliding down my cheeks now.
I found the missing piece.

The days I spent broken...
They've gone to waste now.
Where has my eraser gone?

I cannot put my head down.
Because my locked memories might fall.
No longer do I, my heart to burn.
Goodbye.

Stand up and look at the angels singing around us.
Even if they have no wings,
Even if you cannot see them,
They can hear the pain of forgotten love.

This is so beautiful. And SO sad. Not very often, anymore, can something really tug at my heartstrings and feel the pain. Or loss. Or sorrow. I'm not sure how much more a poem can give, than this one does. Thank you.

WOW.
I loved it.
The title draws you in to it and then leaves you wanting more.
Thanks for commenting on my "Broken Doll" poem.
I had Suigintou in mind when writing it actually. Hahaha!
But your poem is beautiful, flowing and has so much emotion in it!
I love it!

A very beautiful poem in every way. The mysteries of life are expressed by the angels in my perspective if your words. The angels are always making up for the hard times that seem to befall us all from time to time. But life is as beautiful as your writing, which I have come to admire very much.

Very deep, it was very serious and it was nice that i could think that i have had these emotions. Yet the angels always made it seem that we are never alone, and even if you cant see something you know its still there. Like the wind and other things.
You described things beautifully here and it made me think about all the things.
You're spectacular at writing and your poetry is beautiful
