Paradise Isn't Really Lost
by Mary -BrytEyz- Ball (Age: 38)
copyright 11-28-2007

Age Rating: 1 to 127

When the race is running at full speed
And try as you might, you can’t even stand
When all you want is disappearing
Hold as you try, it just slips through your hand

Wishing for things that you really want
Reaching for dreams that never come true
Grasping at straws so frantically
And never finding the answer within you

When fall lets go of summer and
And you see even fall is fading fast
When everything good vanishes in vapors
And nothing gold seems to last

It’s time to look outside our box
At the bigger picture surrounding us all
And open our ears to a welcome whisper
Of a loving shepherd’s repeated call

"Come to me, all you who are toiling"
He chants repetitively in an ancient book
Providing all the answers to our questions
If we’d only take the time to look

And a promise is there for those who bother
"And you WILL find refreshment for your souls"
Ah, therein lies the secret everyone seeks
The token that pays your debt at all life’s tolls

The strength beyond what is normal
Is truly to be had for those who search
And Paradise isn’t really lost, you see
It’s coming here to our very own planet earth

A permanent spring is on its way to us
A tender loving warmth will thaw the past
No more grasping at straws for life, you see
This spring is a spring that’s going to last

For in all the miracles ever created
in the heavens above and beyond any super nova
Is the giver of life, the provider of escape
the one and only Almighty Jehovah!

When man was created, there was not all the treasures that we desire now. Man created those things and man decided we wanted them. God gave us all we really needed, water, food, life. God gave Adam some rules...they were broken. We suffered because of our choices. We continue to make bad choices and we continue to suffer. What we need is still out there. We all have to make choices on what it is that we really need. The choices are not the same for everyone. So I hope you choose wisely, have faith in your decisions and deal with the outcome responsibly. Paradise may be where your standing right now....it's your choice! I have missed you my friend. Thanks for this poem as it has made me think...and thats what make a write great! Anthony

From nothingness we came
To nothingness we go
In nothingness all things are possible.
God spoke everything into creation.
We are the masters of our lives and with his help we can create our own lives -happy or sad.

I'm happy reading all the moving sentiments and beauty in your poem.

~Fondly Rich

Beautiful! I'm more of a free-verse man myself, but I can definitely identify with the sentiments of the piece. Paradox common: We must keep on waiting for what we want already! Keep it up!

Edge of life, words spill out in form, free is the heart hat tastes the soul giving and sharing, playing on Milton is always a wonder, reminder that time plays well with each of us, in image and thought, special, walt
