Jennifer, This is a beautiful poem, and its message so wise. When your love is given to someone, you become vulnerable like a glass rose. Any breach of trust would shatter it to bits. Very nice............June

Quite a nice poem you have here... comparing your heart with a glass rose is a nice poetic touch. In a way, you are right: once you hand your "glass rose" to someone that you love and trust, you expect them to take good care of it lest it be shattered. Love is a delicate object... and you illustrate this with the glass rose metaphor and great word choice. Normally I do not care much for love poems, but this one is an exception. It is well-crafted, shows the extent of your love, and features one of the best metaphors for love that I have seen in a long time, and for that it stands out in my mind.
You did a great job with this. I trust that I will see more works of this quality from you in the future.

Marvelous symbolism. Giving all of our love makes us quite vulnerable. We take a giant risk, and if our heart gets broken, it is difficult to trust again (i.e., to hand someone our glass rose again).
Best wishes,
Moses

Jennifer: One's heart being inside a glass rose is a romantic and picturesque scene. I am glad the recipient was cautioned to be very careful with such a delicate object. Shattered into a million pieces might be a bit much. Most every broken glass rose can be super-glued. Not as pretty but just as strong. Surely it was a red rose! Nice. Dale

This poem was amazing, it flowed perfectly and i loved how you made it your heart.
I can relate to this except the one who promised to never drop it more like slammed it on the ground and stomped all over it.
so yes i loved this poem, its description was marvelous yet i wonder why you put it in a case instead of just handing the rose.
Well i believe i may not be able to make a rose bloom more than once but there are other flowers for different people lol.
its amazing it's one of my favorites
