I Have To Go
by Cassie S. (Age: 15)
copyright 02-13-2008

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I'm tired of this world,
I don't want to know,
So I've made my choice,
I have to go.

I hate being like this,
I can't face my fear,
You try and make me,
And I'll just shed another tear.

I need to get away,
I want to leave,
I hate being here,
I want to acheive.

I'm tired of this world,
I don't want to know,
So I've made my choice,
I have to go.

I'm thinking now,
What should I do?
I've got my knife,
It's nothing new.

But I know it's wrong,
I've still got hope,
I'm done with this,
I'll use a rope.

So here I go,
I'm almost dead,
I remember everything,
That everyone said.

I'm tired of this world,
I don't want to know,
So I've made my choice,
I have to go...

And this work contrasts greatly with the other one. You know, the June, July one? All I can really say is this reflects more your true talent and skills.

I'm glad you decided not to go, after all. ^^

Hatred is a second side of love. You show it in so great way. Passion and love in every line. I like your poem because of the great emotions and thoughts.

Well, if the muse in your poem goes, perhaps reincarnation would bring him/her back. Then what? The world to me is just like a dream. No matter what happens to me I just keep telling myself this is only a dream. Works for me-most times.
The poem has some good rhymes. The rhythm is OK, but could be made tighter and smoother by taking out unnecessary words which mean nothing to the poem or words that have been used more than once. A good poem should use exactly as many words as it needs to make it's point or tell its story -no more no less.

Good read,

Rich
