Life
by Anthony Lane Stahlhut (Age: 47)
copyright 01-13-2008

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Life
I spend my time
here on this earth
Living from day to day
From the time
of my birth
My life seems in dismay

It's here or there
and everywhere
I'm not sure which way to go
I watch them look
I see them stare
I wonder what they must know

It's not that bad
and rather nice
This life I chose to lead
I make decisions
take advice
Always trying to succeed

There is some up
and some down
But knowledge is always gained
It's nice to have
a friend around
When ever you're feeling drained

I live and learn
thrive and burn
Deal daily with pain and strife
Wish and yearn
take a turn
Passionate about living
Life

Good style and smooth sailing with good pace.Could convey the message in a narrative style.

Good prose!

Looking forward to read some more. Thanks

"All life is sorrowful," is the first Buddhist teaching; and I think you did a really nice job of capturing its spirit in this poem. The piece flows very well and (my biggest peeve) it end when it should -- no going on and on. A simple message, a complimentary style, and done! I am looking forward to reading more of your work. Thanks, Anthony.
