Our Book Club

Neighborhood ladies Book Lovers Book Club
First Friday at eight on the dot
Wine and chips, yummy dips
Now let's discuss the plot

So what did you think of this torrid tale?
It was chillingly dark for me
To think the old lady had managed to keep
Her whole life a mystery

She was her sister, her sister was she
She knew not her parents or who they might be
Strangers and fires, ghosts and twins
Bones found in ashes, twelve tales she spins

When unveiled, the thirteenth tale
To all a huge surprise
Read this book my friend you'll see
Magic before your eyes

Neighborhood ladies Book Lovers Book Club
The tale is mere pretext
Wine and chips, yummy dips
So, what shall we read next?

A/N: Our book club really did enjoy "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield

Fun! That's all, fun! A nicely done story--a mystery within a mystery, with believeable characters, even though they remain outside--you can tell they've got it together. Obviously, I enjoyed it!
