The Accident
by Lacey Ruppel (Age: 21)
copyright 02-26-2008

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Girls smiling, Song singing
Driving in the direction of home
Snow falling, Slush forming
Road becoming unsafe
Wheels sliding, Fish-tailing
Heading toward the ditch
Slow motion, Vehicle rolling
Snapshots in the mind
Glass shattering, Screams erupting
Ending on the roof
Dead silence, Mind churning
Panic setting in
Deep breaths, Eyes searching
Looking for an escape
Welcomed stranger, Seatbelt cutting
Crawling out the window
Totaled vehicle, Tears pricking
Reality becoming clear
Apologetic Daughter, Father Hugging
Reassurances being said
Whispered praying, God Thanking
Everyone kept safe
Cops questioning, Body shivering
Confusion taking over
X-rays taken, Doctor Examining
All are sent home uninjured
Night falls, Restless Sleeping
The nightmare as already occurred

*A/N: Here be the final product. I hope you are all not disappointed. I added to the beginning and the end. Let me know what you think; likes, dislikes! Thanks!*
