  A Time Of Love

Honeysuckle on the vine
Feeds hungry humming-bird
And here's the bumbling bee
Frothy yellow in its dance

Creaking oaks night serenades
Chirping crickets all a-clitter
White dove of love flew away
Clawed cargo of a broken heart

Night breezes came to sing
And carried my own songs
Of ghostly freight trains
With their mournful sounds

Gentle, burbling brooks
With quiet, sunlit ponds
Feeding birds and hawks
On hunter's wing this day

See the lovers, side by side
Gentle touches, softer strokes
Soft, satin skin of face and neck
Their lips a pair of hungry mirrors

Quiet moans of gentle pleasures
Eager, each, to know the other
Love's harvest of their treasures
Like flowers in the fields

Give up their honey to the bee
Lovers must give up their honey
Trembling in their gifts
Full-spent so love did leave

How come no one has commented on this?
Its absolutly beautiful, the ryhmes don't seem forced, the flow is lovely. You simply amaze me every time. I enjoy reading poems about love, but then it always reminds me of what I'm missing, but I'm still young and I have time, right? Love is such a strong emotion, its so easy to let the words flow from the pen, or in this case, the keyboard and create a masterpiece.
Don't worry about that poem I wrote, thats not me, I'm showing the dangers of self hate and what it can lead to, I'd never harm myself.
I can't find any problems with this one.
Whoa. I think this takes the cake as my longest comment ever! xD
