Yet Another Journey

Yet Another Journey

If you go to MapQuest
you can't get directions
unless you put in the starting point
and your final destination.
I don't like where I've been...
Thank God, I'm not there anymore.
I have no clue where I am...
I've been searching for clues,
But I think I just might be lost.
I've been praying for a sign.
I like the idea of just ending up
where
I end up.
I don't want to wait 'till I get there,
to feel like I accomplished something!
I think it's gotta be worth something,
if I keep going, no matter what.
Even if I have to occasionally rest
along the way...
I want to have time
to relax and take in the scenery,
I've heard my whole life
the trip is too short.
I might as well make a point to enjoy it.
I will collect souvenirs,
I want to remember this trip!
I've never traveled alone,
I'll admit, I'm a little bit nervous!
But I'm excited at the same time.
Maybe at some point,
I will find someone
to join me on my excursion.
That is,
if they're going the same direction.

The journey of life has many twists and turns. As your mapquest analogy tells us, you must know where you are coming from to reach your destination. Even if you don't like the starting point, it teaches us lessons to use in choosing better roads ahead. I like this work very much, I've come back to it several times. ........June
