Passing On

Child grows old following footsteps

Burned deep in sunshine

Brightening up life

A walk in illusion

Survival granted

At a cost

Expectation

Left alone

As not possible

Wings lift

As they touch

The ground

?

Few taste the award

So many deserve

Yet a slip here

A dart there

Word graced

Mind trigger

Reserve played

Heart seen

Inflection

Driven

Deep

?

She was in love with a fiction

Loved a voice created

A thought seen in wind

Rasped of insight

Person seeing her soul

Repeating self-sounds

Alarms take place

A touch of perfect reflection

Wine matched to taste learned

A kiss of soul played

Upon the same stone

?

The grave of saved from hell

Travel a path worn before

Soul escapes by mirror

Left on walls covered

In repenting face

Voice a doubt

Accepted

Sad but perfect

Salvation

A cost

Paid

?

Broken doll

Repaired

But a heart

Forever broken

As the rain and sun bend to one

A rainbow fading like the midst

Ages does not forgive

"But a heart...Forever broken...Ages does not forgive"

All else, even those things most dear and precious, can be repaired, but not a broken heart. Some would have us believe otherwise, or they would have us believe that therein lies their belief.

What more can I say? It has been said and by better sayers than I.

Frank :)
