(I wrote this for my Grandson's- Tiger Ray-9 and Trevor Lee-5)
Cornstalks in silky sun-dried golden yellow
Stand above their smaller friends they
Tend to over shadow
The clinging types weave and snake around the garlic
As the tomatos toss themselves
Angrily about
Fall is threatening them one and all-
Vines attempt to run away and hide
Pumpkins grow mean faces
Some split open and spill
Their inner seeds
Frosty Freeze is arriving
On tomorrow's midnight train
Flowers wilt in utter strangulation
Earth prepares herself to accept
Rotor tillers devouring ugly wrath
Garden...rest in peace
