Fairytales were fine when I was young.
When these false lies of love never stung.
No one wants a girl without a gold crown,
There's no fancy ball, no pretty gown,
No rose covered castle, no white steed,
No prince to come to me when I'm in need,
No one hears my sobbing or crys.
Fairytales are nothing but Lies.
"All girls are princesses", I once heard.
What a joke, to believe these false words.
Well, where's my prince, then? Tell me this,
Or am I just a princess that they have missed?
Am I the only girl out there that isn't one?
God, I hate how only pretty girls have fun.
I'm so sick of seeing them with their prince
If never going to be loved, I'm convinced.
Those girls with their tiaras of beauty,
Only make me want to scream in agony.
Being rescued from the castle of solitude,
Say I'll find him, thats not changing my attitude.
Sweet words will never be crooned to me
I'm the kind of girl guys will never see
If I've learned anything from those stories
Is that they're all nothing but lies.
Beacause,
Not all girls are princesses.
They need to find the prince first.

My oh my, this poem relates to how I felt not too long ago. You've expressed quite well, being an old time "Waiting for Destiny" doesn't quite work here in the real world, if you want something...Go after it. Thank you for the good write.
Well it is true. Some don't have a prince, or that ball, or that pretty gown... I mean, maybe fairy-tales are put there for our amusement, but the adults hide the truth until we're older. But so far it's really good.
No one hears my sobbing or crys
should be ". . . sobbing or cries"
Say I'll find him, thats not changing my attitude.
should be "Say I'll find him, that's . . . "
Sweet words will never be crooned to me
may sound better if "Crooned" were changed to "Cooed" but that's simply because "cooed" is most normally used in that context versus crooned.
The first two are grammatical, and the third is a suggestion. Correct and then I'll give points ^.^
One thing that I despised about fairytales growing up was the idea that a female needed a prince to be saved. Trust me, I understand what love is. I was engaged in high school and with the "love of my life" for over two years. But you're right--not all girls are princesses. Not all girls need men to save them, or to love them. Some are queens. And I think you're one of them.
Queens are stronger. They can rule their own life and their country. And because of that, when they find that "one person" to be with, they will be happier. Because they won't be dependent on someone. Queens are smart, and beautiful in ways that the princesses you see can never be. They're the ones who change the world. They're the ones who see that fairy tales? Aren't real. They're the ones who live and thrive. And I think you'll find that you will.
Don't buy in to the idea that you can't be a princess or a queen without your prince or king. Doesn't work that way. You're a brilliant girl. It may take a little longer, but it'll be worth it in time. I promise.
hey. youre really good ^.~
well every girl is a princess in her own way
and even if she hasnt found her prince yet
doesnt mean hes not on his way
not all princess's have tiaras
sometimes they wear magnificent gowns
or beautiful accesories
or nothing glamerous at all
