If I should wake beside a silver stream
although the day sit beautiful and bright
If all the world abounds in God's delight
Without you I could not fit in the theme

whom I adore with all my heart

Ricky - Thank you so much for this beautiful quatrain. Your poetry always amazes me, but this one especially because you have said volumes to me in these four short lines. xo Juney
Rich, I hope your lovely poem inspires more PNP authors to try some of the more condensed forms like quatrains and sonnets. It's way too easy to ramble on verse after verse and say practically nothing. That's why I'm glad to see a movement like New Formalism take hold. The short forms especially demand that you get to the point -- as you have here in just 40 well chosen syllables. Great job.
I like this poem!
I've never read a quatrain poem before, but this is really pretty.
I like the imagery in it.
The silver stream I can imagine best.
I can see like a stream sparkling in the sunlight.
It's very beautiful.

How fascinating! The first original "In Memoriam" quatrain I've seen in ages, and you've pulled it off quite nicely. The emotive content shows through brilliantly. The language could use a bit of tunung up but asw it is it's quite good. Always looking forward to more of yours.

What is there to say? A perfect quatrain in perfect iambic pentameter, reflecting a perfect love, with a perfect presentation, and a perfect dedication, for a perfect lady.
When all the pieces fit so well together, one can but stand back and admire. ^^
