I was in my room
and the trees were looming
overhead,
casting shadows on the grass.
Dancing with tigers,
soaking wet and
lying in the mud,
I was sinking in the swamp,
drinking in her bed,
staring at the sun,
when They came.
They were beautiful
and grotesque.
They were one,
and They wanted me.
So I turned and
ran down the alleyway
into my house,
where flowers grow
through the floorboards.
They held me down,
poisoned me,
and now I see nothing...
nothing but endless
shades of grey,
20,000 shades of yesterday.
