Three Triolets
by June Nazarian
copyright 07-15-2008

Age Rating: 7 to 127

~1~
Grand Central Station

He sat in his wheelchair, suitcase on lap
No one to help as the trains whizzed by
They told him to wait for the bright red cap
He sat in his wheelchair, suitcase on lap
Maybe that fellow was taking a nap
Or perhaps a scheduling error, oh my
He sat in his wheelchair, suitcase on lap
No one to help as the trains whizzed by

~2~
My Word

The critters are safe, I give you my word
They're all cozied-up in the animal pen
No mooing or grunting, no noises are heard
The critters are safe, I give you my word
But occasional squawking from one crazy bird
It could be a buzzard, let's hope it's a hen
The critters are safe, I give you my word
They're all cozied-up in the animal pen

~3~
Doctor's Orders

Doctor's orders, eat no beef
Oh what to do, I don't like chicken
If I eat only fish, I won't get grief
Doctor's orders, eat no beef
To pitch this diet would be a relief
I'd almost rather my arteries thicken
Doctor's orders, eat no beef
Oh what to do, I don't like chicken

A/N: The first is a true story, the second and third are simply exercises using proper triolet structure. (I love chicken and know nothing about animal pens.)
