Cream golden-white within the blue,
Pink rose soft as the sun-kissed sea,
Lavender silk, like milky blossoms blowing;
Amber velvet honey, the cat-eye gaze,
To meet the cosmos pearl and black ink tears;
A pale rainbow faint over mountain high:
The promise is faded, but yet will live.
Beauty without and jewels in the night,
Spiritual wanderings into color beyond;
Silver-dusted, ghostly, liquid-floating shine;
And light spray falling from eternity,
To mist the fruit-bright, shadow laughter,
Which retreats before the sparking darkness
And calls faraway to something that sleeps.
Silent as depths of soundless stars
Lingering in waterless oceans above;
The gateway to Heaven is here in my soul,
And the gliding, gossamer gift of wonder
Shall return again and, wordless, sing
Of melting pastel, paintscape dreams
That dance across the whispers of time.
