Brittle, dying...heart
by Brooke M. (Age: 17)
copyright 07-07-2008

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Brittle wings...
Falling fairy dust
A dying world
Dying because it must

Dusty paths
In a forest once green
The way we see
is our pain unseen

Cracked hearts
Falling apart
Shaky breaths
Heaving chests

A pain so sharp
We all can see
Kills us inside
Creates a barren sea

An ocean once deep
Now runs dry
Was once our hearts
Never more to cry

Depression hurts
Creates this world
Where beauty has died
And no one seems alive

Amidst a world
Buzzing with life
I am left
In the darkness's bitter strife....

This is basically my veiw on depression...how it makes the world seem. It makes things once beautiful...hidious...and dying like my heart. Its a cruel thing that starts little, and seems to tear apart your life.
