Love's Words

Shall I tell you of the
Lies that lovers tell?
Each to each, but
Each one speaking
To his own heart,
The lover used as
But a pawn for
Each to hear the
Timeless words
Of Love and Promise
Faith and Fidelity.

Cover me with your
Gossamer tapestries
Of love's words, but
Know that as the
Lace of Love drifts
Down, it can't
Conceal the waiting
Lover in Love's Bed,
As instead it will
Reveal each heart
To each, to be their
Own false destiny
Of broken promises
And damaged souls.

<>Author's Note

There are times when a thing will not stay silent. And seeming birthed from it's own soul, the words spill forth until the thing has had its say. The poet becomes the pawn--no more, no less.

Nobody likes a promise breaker. A damaged soul is hard to repair. I really like the picture above this poem, very beautiful. The poem touched me deep. Thank you.

Your work is very intersting and quite full of life I like your idea in this one. I look for your works about romance of corse your others are good too just call me a hopeless romantic I guess. The setup of this poem helps send its message a lot and I look forward to toher writings that show what I often feel. You are very in touch with words and I hope they come as easy as they read. Keep writing don't let anyone tell you that you can't. It may be for adults but if younger ones could understand it they would love it too.

Pictures from the dark side of love, written by a master poet. How could one not read this.
Lovers, friends, etc. We all use each other from time to time, like the nature of the spider, so are we from time to time. Is not the very act of loving, using?
Written with your usual skill, I enjoyed this from a philosophical sense, as well as good literature. Thanks,

It seems to me that love has everything to do with it. Were it not for love, modern or otherwise, then we'd have to find some other vexing thing to try our souls and minds--if not our hearts--and let the world know of its inequities. Let us pray, good Mike, that modern or ancient, your path indeed is ever clear and unsullied. The messenger learned a long time ago that when there is doubt, but he would still persist with folly, disclaim! LOL

One wants to scream, "What's love got to do with it?" This is a modern view of love that a romantic like myself hopes never to stumble across. I might call it the Say Anything school of romance. As always the writing is excellent, and I noted that the messenger took care to add a disclaimer. LOL.

My friend you have a gift for sharing more than voice. As the brush works its magic the artist cries in pain, no control just heart spilling forth, the model laughs, check mate, outstanding.. Walt
