Traveling Ways
Im sitting here in Texas just smoking a cigarette.
In tee shirt and shorts, the breezes are stirring.
Im staring at the moon which is a full moon.
Funny how the same moon reaches everybody.
Thinking it will be soon and I will be boarding the bus.
The bus will be taking me miles away.
To some places un known.
Also back to my homestate......my home.
Been gone a year....doesn't seem so.
It will be a long ride.
The bus will stop every few hours to smoke a cigarette.
The man in the seat behind me will be snoring.
I can only think I'll be home soon.
Fighting this kink in my knee.
Riding down the highway on a Greyhound bus.
Straight on for two days.
I am free and my own.
Headin g towards the place I know best ...my home.
When I get home to Maine I'll freeze my a__ off, this I know.
Traveling across the continental divide.
