All that Wisdom!

All that Wisdom!
Picture Credits: To my learned friends

When it began nothing was pleasant, dear,
Letter, word, phrase, line, and teacher's harsh voice,
Three score years now, that treasure I find here.

Listen, read, write, and speak with joyless face,
Passed, jumped, like neverending load it grew,
Now the premise knows the strength of the base.

Speed, think fast, tell, glory of passing days,
Never did I realize how it happened!
All that counted: 'One' means go many ways.

Compulsion, uselessness means lot to me,
I will pass away like a scholar high,
Ere long new class will spell 'I', 'We', and 'He'.

Truth never taught, nor teacher brave to tell,
SHOW with or without wisdom is to end,
Some more life Alexander did yell!

Time leads, teachers hold, proud am I, for i know you, so much given, self and face, each line a value, a need, and the share goes past today, indeed you are the gifted writer...Walt

This is quite good and allows us to see your talents as a writer and as a teacher. As I read, I found myself in reverie of many days gone by, and many days still at hand, where some knowledges were, and are, allowed to be imparted.

A reverenced position, that: Teacher. Both at once so very complicated and equally simple. Balanced is perhaps the word I'm looking for.

But what teacher is truly balanced. To have the passion, ideals, and courage to daily brave the minds entrusted to your care. Perhaps slightly unbalanced, but well aware of where the fulcrum lies, is even better. But only slightly. ^_^

I think your students may be fortunate that it is you standing before them, willing to share your knowledges and wisdoms.

Some thoughts which came to mind as I read your work. Thank you, Raja. ^^

Frank :)
