If you could just spare a little of your time to help save endangered species and the rainforest, would you?
I have now for over a year. I have done this with the help of care2.com and the many wonderful sponsors who also support these races.
There are three races: The race for the big cats, the race for the rainforest, and the newest, the race for the pandas.
I joined the race for the big cats first. All I had to do every day was to visit the site and put in my click.
So far in this current race I have protected 66.4 acres of Tiger habitat, 56.9 acres of Jaguar habitat, and 46.3 acres of Snow Leopard habitat.
Since I love them all I select which to click each day by the one with the least amount clicks at the time of my visit. It has taken the stress out of the decision for me. *smile*
The race for the rainforest is another I have participated daily in. I just visit the site and click. I protect 12.2 square feet of rainforest for each click. Only one click is allowed per day for each race.
So far in this race I have protected 1,221.4 square feet of rainforest. I have protected a total of 2,752.2 square feet since I first signed on in the middle of race two. I am now in race four.
The baby of the races is the race for the Panda. I have already protected 4,461.0 square feet of bamboo for the Pandas.
They also really make it easy by offering the option to be reminded via email every day to click. I get reminded for all three.
I had to ask myself what would my time be truly worth if I didn't use at least some of it on the really worthwhile things?
I take about three minutes of each day to do this. In just that three minutes I have made a difference.
Ask yourself if three minutes of your day, every day is too much to spare to protect our big cats, the pandas and the rainforest.
