Kimi=Hana (English Rewrite)

(There's a song from Junjou Romantica called Kimi=Hana. The song is one of my favorites, so I rewrote the lyrics for someone.)

Don't let go of my hand, of my hand
For you will always be mine.
For now the earth's warmth has returned, has returned,
And your favorite flower has bloomed.

The spring has come, and all the plants have grown.
But though I'm not sure why,
It all reminds me of you.
As I glance down at my feet,
I notice a wilted flower,
So I take it home to you
To nurse it back to health.
Now that I think about it, something strange has occurred to me.
My favorite flower's not one growing in the ground,
Rather, my favorite flower is you.

Don't let go of my hand, of my hand
For I don't know how I'd react if you did.
Hold onto my hand for now,
Until I tell you 'you can let go.'
I want to see you, just to see you.
The more I'm with you the more I'm in love.
I'll be by your side, by your side
'Till your favorite flower has bloomed.

Looking up at the stars,
There's a map in the sky.
Standing here with you makes me so very happy.
You are all in my heart,
You are the one that I love.
Because the flower that is you has bloomed in my heart.

I want to be with you,
just to be with you.
I'm so lonely here on my own.
Hold my hand until all of my loneliness fades away.
Don't let go of my hand,
of my hand.
I think I would cry if you did.
Warmth has returned to my heart,
To my heart,
And my favorite flower is here.

I glance out the window,
To see that your back is turned,
But even so, I know
That it's you outside.
So I open my window,
To call out to you,
Only to turn around and discover
That you were already there.

Don't let go of my heart,
of my heart.
For surely it will crush me if you do.
Let's look forward to tomorrow,
Where a bright future awaits us.
Don't let go of your love,
Of your passion,
Because I'll always be by your side.

This was very nice! I could hear the melody and the music as a read; I'm quite impressed. The vocabulary and flow, even in English, remained very good. The person whom you wrote this to is a very lucky person.

The descriptions and choice of words was all very interested, and created a vivid mental image. Very good; keep writing. ^-^

In a word, wonderful! Now I admit, I seldom comment on juvenile works, as they seem to me to be so trite. This is anything but. Nice free verse with a gently flowing rhythm. Interesting, nearly haunting message. Love it. Thanks!

To have done this re-writing tells us very much about the writer and that "someone" for whom these lines were written. There are some works that really don't need comment--they speak so well for themselves. So, instead, I'll just think about a pair of flowers that will bloom and grow together, forever. ^^
