Kill The Beast

So there are rainbows in a lead sky
Troubled hearts on the wishes we fly
Cast the markers in a golden calf
Dread the likeness fool and ass

So triangle works in fever
Upon a trail so deep
Watch hell bent for leather
Never do heroes sleep

Real terror in eyes grown blind
Subject of forgiven
Bleeds a traitor mind
And she dances for a soul

In the darkness he never lets go
Body of an angel
Cast a dragon mind
Perfect lover for a time

Will is bending in a room spinning fast
Breathe in the wonder
Could be an emotion
Could be a past

Music in the parlor
Stealing knifes thrown
Kill the beast
Lead the body home

In lasting upon a fast so clear
Saw Peirdra coming
Getting way too dear
Love died here

So there are rainbows in a lead sky
Troubled hearts on the wishes we fly
Cast the markers in a golden calf
Dread the likeness fool and ass

Sobering. Which must happen, I suppose, from the usual euphoria verse imparts. Maintaining a balance and all that. Peirdra is elusive. But worth the search. The rainbows for me, today, thanks. I'll leave the lead for someone else. ^_~
