I'll Do So Much More

(Chorus)
Of all that I've been thru,
what's meant the most is you
You're a precious gift to me
- incited and uplifted me
Under all the stars above,
somehow I found your love!
And like I've said before,
we'll do so much more!
------------------
I may not climb a mountain,
or stand on every shore
But that's ok with me
because I've done so much more
The sun rises in the morning
showing me what's in store
Then all I do is smile
because I'll do so much more
I've done more than most
but not as much as many
What I have isn't alot
but what I've got is plenty
If you look for treasures
I bet you won't find any
No, I don't have it all,
but what I've got is plenty
I am blessed with plenty,
rewarded beyond compare
What I do have in my life
makes the people stare
They wish they had it too,
some say it isn't fair
But that's ok with me,
for it makes the people stare
People stare because your love
showers like a fountain
They pray to be all I am
from upon their lofty mountains
All the times I've been graced
I can't even count them
Me, I'll not be jealous
as I look on lofty mountains
I may not climb those mountains
nor walk a sandy shore
But that's ok with me
because I'll do so much more
The sun sets in the evening
as earth reveals its lore
It brings to me a smile
because I've done so much more
------------------
(Chorus)
Of all that I've been thru,
what's meant the most is you
You're a precious gift to me
- incited and uplifted me
Under all the stars above,
somehow I found your love!
And like I've said before,
we'll do so much more!

This is as beautiful as anything you write now.
Any guy would be extremely lucky to find you.
Your poems light me up, but your sweet personality lights me up even more.
Thank you for your writings,
Rich

As the others said, this is a truly touching poem! Or should I say song? A lot of my poems are songs, and I really liked this one. I really love it when poems tell stories, and when they're meaningful and full of metaphors and comparisons that pain a picture in my mind. The flow is very good, and the song itself has a strong topic, further strengthen by how you presented it. I have a few poems that remind me of the message that you're sending out here, but over all I really loved this poem. Oh, in the forth paragraph, you spelled because wrong. :) That's all the grammar or spelling flaws I can find. Great work, keep writing!

I did write this with all intentions of it being a song. *fingers crossed* It's in the hands of the band now tho. I'll let you all know when/if it does. *smiles really big!*
I love life! Can anyone tell? I love love! I love my children.. gosh, I'm sickeningly happy today! :)

Mary,
I love this. I am so glad I can finally leave a comment. I think it was a problem with my PC though and not the website but I kept getting an error when I tried to leave comments. LOL.
This was a pleasure to read. *smile*
