So hauntingly sad but profound in expression, all enveloped in brevity. It made my heart stop and my being float in the words.

Yes, dear friend,
This Senryu so laconically yet so eloquently expresses the irony of human life and wonderful inability of human that I can only utter the words "Wonderful!!"
This one is perhaps the best of the poems of the genre which I have gone through in my lifetime. Three lines flowing together and hitting the target.
Great!!!
God bless you
Rajasir

Alan, you have said it all in your beautiful senryu with the accompanying, haunting illustration. When in a state of feeling hopeless, there is little one can do but express emotions in a variety of healthy ways, this certainly being one. Eventually, armed with the tincture of time, roses smell sweet again, I know. June
