Seas of My Life
by Lyle Berry (Age: 61)
copyright 11-06-2001

Age Rating: 10 to 127

My life has been a sea of days
A turbulent sea in myriad ways
Some memorable whitecaps
Unforgettable waves
My life has been a sea of days

My life has been a sea of fears
I sought escape in a sea of beers
Been capsized - near drowned
By tsunamis of tears
My life has been a sea of fears

My life has been a sea of emotions
A sexual sea of Freudian notions
Maelstroms of chaos
Divided devotions
My life has been a sea of emotions

My life has been sea of despair
A sea of distress and of tearing my hair
I’ve ranted at God
And I’ve called Him unfair
My life has been a sea of despair

My life has been a sea of death
Staring at seascapes and holding my breath
I guess I could lie
Say I’d given my best
But life has been a sea of death
