Time Machine

Time Machine

Change time if you wish
With shades of the lens
That reflects countless tones
Of the glasses you cleanse

It takes incredible concentration
And it is best to understand
That to ask for new light
May not be all that you planned

The inflexibility you feel
makes it insufficient to see
that a time machine
Is no key to elasticity

It is amusing to fiddle
With our past and future fate
But what you find
May be something you hate

Hi Alan,
I like this very much. Wonderful rhyming that flows like the time of both past and future. The picture is perfect for this poem. I'm sorry that I missed reading this before. Great!
Always, Mae

As a Sci-Fi fan, I've always been fascinated with the theory of time travel and your poem is very interesting how we may not always like what we find if we had the option to move forward or back, but another thing too is that any person that is seeking something may not find what they were expecting which will lead to their disappointment.

Hi Alan - Like Walt I too loved the picture and the story. I am fascinated by the idea of space travel backward and forward, in fact just the mystery of time itself. You last stanza says it all. Let's lope we don't hate the present, lol. June
