Moments
by John Mcleod
copyright 11-10-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Solitary moments increase day by day
I yearn for friendship and love
only time will tell if these ever come
to my prison which is buried in the mud,

Hope? There has got to be
without it there is no point
in living a life that is so filled with strife
I would embrace death like a beautiful wife,

Silent moments are the normal thing
when sitting alone at the desk
only the words to comfort me
the rhymes are my best friend,

Happy moments there has been
echoes in my mind
plastic toys that were made for boys
I am sure that you know the kind,

Tender moments I have had a few
some were quite intense
but life is sad one might say 'bad'
when everything is thought of as past tense.

John,
I like this I can relate to this one I was depressed once. Im fine now but it is how so many in this world may feel. I especially like the line only my rhymes are my best friend.
thanks for sharing this one. :)

Jackie, no it is not that bad, sometimes we all sit down and think sad thoughts. I often do this to keep in touch with feelings that are otherwise forgotten.

Wow, John, hard week? I'm hoping things get better soon. It's really not that bad. Jackie
