Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand

She kissed me tender on the cheek
Tucked me tight in bed

Now and then, she’d take a peek
Then stroke my sleepy head

I love to dream of mother’s care
Of her love she gave to me

At times, she’d say a humble prayer
Wherever I might be

She bathed and fed me, kept me well
Taught me right from wrong

She loved me dearly, one could tell
Protecting all day long

I often reminisce the past
How mother loved me so

Heartbeats of her love will last
Wherever life will go

Momma has gone to heaven’s high
With angels like no other

She watches from beyond the sky
Along with my grandmother

One day I’ll join them hand in hand
Watching loved ones from above

I know the world will understand
Because there’s so much love

Some very nice sentiments expressed here, Mae. And nicely presented. ^^
