Very nice piece! I like your topic, although I can hardly relate to it because when I realized I liked a guy for a whole year my first reaction was, "Holy crap! Is there an extra hole in my head? What am I thinking?" Mainly because he was far older than me! Anyway, I liked your choice of words in this piece and the bit with the magic hat and the black and white rabbits... They do say opposites match, so this poem rather matches the notion. I enjoyed this one, and how you introduced it as your thoughts at a certain place in time. :) I myself usually realize random things when I lay in my bed at night waiting to fall asleep, admiring the glow-in-the-dark start constellations on my ceiling. I'm most relaxed then, when the house is quiet and I'm alone with my thoughts. Great flow in this piece, and I'm glad you appreciate my comments! Oh, and I couldn't find one grammar or spelling error! Great work, keep it coming!
Really liked this bringing out that age old ? Well all I can say is we better hope a few of those last, because court rooms will be filled to the hilt if they don,t. It's the differences in someone else that brings you together its respecting that difference that keeps you together.
I love this poem. Opposites definitely attract and hold...when you are able to share one another's passions and respect other viewpoints. I've grown so much in my relationship, as had my boyfriend. In many ways we are very different, yet, in amongst it all we find common ground.
I guess the things that you see as 'sameness' in the beginning of a relationship are the ones that hold the relationship together. It's when the 'opposites' start taking over that you're in trouble. Good write, Marilyn. Jackie
