Hello Les, pleased ta meetcha. Thanks for dropping by to read my BEER poem. (as I said in the poem, the rhyme stinks, but thanks for your comment). This was very well done. Very pretty, and lyrical poem about a very difficult subject. All the best, Bunny

How well you answered her simple, natural question... with a simple, honest answer that caused no fear.

What a nice way to teach your child the enormity of a concept. Take comfort in the knowledge that you've given meaning to his/her life and formed an emotional bridge that he/she will always feel comfortable in crossing when times get tough. The bonding you've created between father and child is very special and hard to defeat.

Well done, thanks for sharing the moment. Sadly, although pets are the ones who love us unconditionally, they have shorter life spans than most of us. I have had to let many go in my life time, but it is never easy.

This was a very sad one Les, it was well written and a pleasure to read.

That's the saddest part of having pets, losing them and sharing the pain of those we love. Nicely written, sad and true!

Great poem, Les. None of us wants our kids to go to heaven before us. Jackie
