Billy The Goat

Billy the Goat was a terrible snob

He lived in the farmyard annoying the mob

He turned up his nose at the geese and the sheep

And Douglas the Donkey, he said was a creep

The gang in the farmyard went into session

And formed a committee to teach him a lesson

Said Hector the hog, "I’d like to propose"

We’ll send him to Coventry, and see how that go’s

Daisy the cow would have none of that

That will not help us she said of the brat

He’s so fond of talking with no thought to share

If no one talks back to him, he just wouldn’t care

Harry the horse said I know what your saying

I’ll give him a kicking or maybe a slaying

NO said the others, that’s far to intense

We need to embarrass, to give him some sense

I know what we can do, said Douglas with ease

We’ll all turn our backs until he says please

We’ll all keep on saying "what’s that again"

"Speak a bit clearer so we can explain"

All then agreed they’d give it a trial

And next time the Billy decided to rile

They all turned their backs and all spoke the words

And Billy the Goat he go quite perturbed

After a while he got the idea

And his apology seemed most sincere

The gang in the farmyard thought he would slip back

But he’d learned his lesson and so didn’t slack

The farmyard is now a more peaceful place

And all of the creature have manners and grace

Billy the Goat is correct and polite

All is forgotten and all is just right

This is cute! I could picture myself standing in the barnyard watching all of this happen like a cartoon ... like that Barnyard cartoon. Do you write childrens books?
