The Beast

Born an angel, but living a demon

Purity vanishing, and the beast is the reason

A monster, a curse, an advocate of hell

Disguised as a feeling, felt better than well

Tearing into your mind, your body, your soul

But what you don't realize is you're digging a hole

You can never climb out, you can never fill up

You only want more, but more's not enough

So you hustle and steal, trying to fill the void

You feel reborn, but what you are is destroyed

Never do you realize, until it's too late

The beast you craved is sealing your fate

So you run and you hide, just to return

To feel the beast and its bittersweet burn

You begin to hate, the feeling you loved

You wish you could stop, but the beast is too much

You cry out for help, but you found out too late

That accepting the beast, is accepting your fate
