I often wonder what is...
What it is,
That you are doing now.
And I often wonder,
Wonder how,
We have grown apart.
And we don't seem
To know each other,
Now.
What is, this strangeness
That has turned you around
And has made you forget...
Me.
To forget, all the times we shared
The laughing, and the crying,
And how much we cared.
I often wonder what is,
That you are doing now.
And I often wonder
Why.
Why it has to be this way
The silence and the solitude
When,
All I want to hear, is for you to say,
Hello,
or
Maybe even
G'day,
How was your day?
But as the months go by
And my days are no longer nights
The picture that I hold of you,
I see in a different light.
And I begin to wonder,
Yes, I begin to wonder,
What was it at the very start,
That made me love you,
As I do.
But now,
In a different light.
