This is the best Teriyaki marinade ever. Once you try this, you will never use bottled again!
This marinade is traditionally used with flank steak but is equally great with chicken, pork or seafood such as shrimp. It is great for kabobs as well. Just remember flank steak should be marinated for a minimum of 4 hrs., overnight in the fridge is best.
1/4 C. soy sauce
2 T. vinegar (I like to use wine vinegar)
1/4 - 3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 T. honey
3/4 C. salad oil
1 small green onion finely chopped including the green part
Mix all ingredients in a plastic or glass container. Marinate meat, turning occaisionally. Grill or broil meat and baste with marinade during cooking. Leftover marinade may be boiled and served on the side.
