Winter
In this frosty winter light,
flakes waltz through out the night,
follow the sonata of one faded star.
Bitter wind encumbers flight,
echo’s down the canyon’s wall.
Forever gone, the colors fall.
Snow-white silence greets the dawn,
to calm the moan and lament,
as dust is heaped gray to white.
With hostile encircled swirls,
sculpted outlines haunt the walk .
Down feathers choose the poorest twig .
Under the cloud closed sky,
winter’s harmony ignored.
