Terror
Desolate landscape stretches before me
Trees like skeletons reach to the sky.
Winds blow dust clouds across the horizon
Skulls rest on sand dunes where vultures fly.
Deserted houses in ruins surround me
Wide gapping holes hold darkness and fear.
Spiders and snakes, bats and lizards
Scurry across timbers only ghosts can hear.
Icy gusts charge in making me shiver
Where specters, phantoms and spirits are lost.
Over by the church yard where black cats scurry
Tall grave stones are covered with creeping moss.
The ground beneath my feet trembles
In the distance comes Satan rolling in on his cart.
Total darkness creeps up and engulfs me
Terror resides deep in my heart.
