Sunshine Rising

copyright 01-09-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

sometimes my dreams carry me to you again,
the way it used to be.

sometimes I take a picture of my life,
looking through the lens and you are
there.

sometimes I spread my dreams beneath
your feet, seeing us walk midst the
vibrant flowers in the sun.

sometimes I remember how much I loved
you, so I can love myself a little
more

sometimes.

And sometimes that someone hears your thoughts and smiles because you sometimes think of them, and who knows? Sometimes they may take a picture themself and remember the way it used to be.

Then again Paulette, I did say I ramble on a bit.

John

'Sometimes' seems a marvelous place. Did you ever hear the song, "Stardust", written by Hoagy Carmichael? Willie Nelson recorded some years back, and it starts out with a dream-like melody, as he writes:

"Sometimes I wonder why I spend
a lonely night dreaming of a song,
The melody haunts my reverie,
and I am once again with you.
When our love was new
and each kiss an inspiration
But that was long ago,
now my consolation is in the stardust of a song."

Nice job, Paulette... you took me back.
