Keep Your Chin Up
by Paulette Weaver
copyright 01-09-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Life's a bitch, all-consuming, even on weekends,
and what for?
Death! What a bummer!

Life should flow opposite for a change, dying should
come first, spend 20 years in an old folks home,
at an early age you're asked to leave.

Get your gold watch, make your living, work 30 years,
time to be young, attend college, party hardy, high
school shenanigans.

Time to be a kid, cavort, comes a little boy or girl,
living in the womb, 9 months suspended, finally
you end up being a gleam in someone's
eye.

And don't you just hate it Paulette when someone dies they say he/she died of nothing in particular? When I die I want to die of SOMETHING!
I would hate it if I just went, that would be a waste of good life.

An interesting write that brings forth questions of (Why?)

Interesting philosophy. Considering all the choices we made (unmade), it might be interesting if we could change whose eye we ended up as a gleam in, don't you think?

Personally, I think I might like to have ended up as a gleam in the eye of my neighbors, Mrs. and Mrs. Duval. They always seemed to like me more than my own parents.

I enjoyed this... gave me food for thought.
